Call for Symposia Sessions
The Call for Symposia Sessions Submission site is now open!
Multidisciplinary researchers, educators, clinicians, administrators, and healers will come together for the 2026 Science of Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health Conference, held in Boston, MA, from Thursday, April 30, to Friday, May 1, 2026. The focus of the second conference on Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health is ‘Deepening Our Physiological Understanding of Mind-Body Integration.’
Priority Topic AreasSubmissions will be accepted in the following topic areas that parallel our plenary themes:
In addition to the above plenary themes, submissions that target other topics within the field of TCQ are also welcome. Topics may include pain, cardiovascular health, cross-systems physiology (such as gut-brain/cardio-respiratory/neuro-immune), health services research, and implementation science.
Presentation FormatsSubmissions will be accepted in the following formats with a requirement of two (2) to three (3) presenters each:
Submission DeadlineThe Call for Symposia will close on September 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Status NotificationNotification of the status of your proposal will be sent in December 2025. On occasion, the committee may request that sessions with complementary topics be combined or that the topic area selected during the submission process be reassigned. Submitters will be notified well in advance if it is deemed necessary to combine sessions. Please hold the dates of Thursday, April 30 & Friday, May 1, 2026, until you are notified of the status of your submission. Submission RequirementsSubmissions MUST include the following information:

EvaluationDue to the level of interest in presenting sessions and constraints of the symposium schedule, some worthy proposals may not be accepted. All proposals will undergo extensive review by members of the Conference Planning Committee. Choosing the appropriate session format and ensuring all items on the application are carefully addressed will increase the chance of acceptance. Selection will be determined on the basis of:
